Who You Talk To

You talk to an independent provider. That is a local septic or sewer business in the Gary area. It is not Fictioncontact Septic. We make the connection. The provider does the work and gives you the quote.

We do not list staff names or bios on this site. Nobody here will show up at your door. The person you speak with works for the provider.

What Happens After You Ask

Here is the usual path:

  • You send a request, or you call.
  • A provider in the network reviews the details.
  • The provider contacts you to ask a few questions.
  • You may get a site visit or a quote by phone, depending on the job.
  • You get the price in writing and decide.

Timing depends on the provider. Many providers can respond quickly, but we cannot promise it. If the situation is urgent, say so up front. Mention sewage backing up, a tank overflowing or a wet spot spreading in the yard.

What to Ask a Provider

Good questions save money. Try these:

  • What do you think is wrong, and how sure are you?
  • What are my options, from smallest fix to biggest?
  • What is included in the quote, and what is not?
  • Could the price change once work starts? Why?
  • Do you need a permit, and who handles it?
  • Do you do emergency septic cleaning, or is that a separate visit?
  • Will you help document the damage if I file an insurance claim?

If you have a private well, ask whether the provider also handles water well service, or knows who does. Wells and septic systems need to work together.

You Are in Control

A request is not a contract. You can compare quotes. You can ask for time to think. You can say no.

Be careful if someone pushes you to decide on the spot. A fair provider will explain the job and let you read the quote first. Get it in writing.
